The Association for Maintenance and Construction Canada (AMCC) is proud to participate in the National Construction Labour Relations Alliance of Canada (NCLRA) Conference 2024, themed Negotiating Our Future. This event brings together key industry players to discuss the evolving landscape of labour relations and the critical issues shaping the future of the construction and maintenance industries.

A highlight of AMCC's involvement at the conference will be the introduction of the AMCC Advisory Panel Co-Chairs. This panel will be composed of leaders and experts from across the construction and maintenance sectors and is set to provide strategic insights to help navigate the industry's challenges and opportunities. The session will be a focussed discussion led by Advisory Panel Co-Chairs Robert Kucheran and Mandy Kaiser.

As a sponsor of the NCLRA Conference, AMCC's Board Chair Ken Sandmoen will introduce the second panel on Day One. His introduction will include an overview of AMCC, an organization that is relatively new to many in the industry, having been formed in 2023. Sandmoen will shed light on AMCC's purpose of fostering innovation and addressing the pressing challenges in the construction and maintenance sectors.

President Shandra Linder will play a pivotal role in the conference, participating on both days. On Day One, she will share her expertise on the panel discussing Learnings from Recent Rounds of Collective Bargaining. This session promises to be a valuable exchange of knowledge from recent labour negotiations. On Day Two, Linder will provide a deeper dive into AMCC’s role in the unionized maintenance industry, offering unique insights into how the organization supports its members in critical areas such as effective Labour, Stakeholder, and Government Relations
