AMCC Board Chair Ken Sandmoen and Acting President Shandra Linder met with Jobs, Economy and Trade Minister Matt Jones at the Legislature to discuss the vital role that the maintenance industry plays in the Canadian economy.

The conversation focused on the critical nature of our members and workers to maintain the industrial infrastructure that keeps our energy sector running, heats and lights our homes, and ensure manufacturing facilities can export products across the country and around the world.

We spoke with the Minister specifically about ongoing workforce development, the intense competition for skilled labour, partnership opportunities for worker training, and ongoing support for programs on worker safety and mental health supports. AMCC thanks Minister Jones for his interest in our organization, the issues we brought forward, and the constructive dialogue on how we can collaborate going forward.
