Beyond The Bid: SUPPLY CHAIN CANADA WEST FUTURES CONFERENCE

AMCC was proud to sponsor and partner with Supply Chain Canada West at its FUTURES Conference in Edmonton on October 2, helping convene an important conversation about what contracting needs to look like in a changing industrial environment.

AMCC President Shandra Linder opened the session Beyond the Bid: Contracting 2.0 in an Era of Supply Chain Uncertainty, connecting the discussion to work AMCC began more than a year ago through One Industry. One Workforce. One Future.

Her message that supply chain uncertainty is no longer simply about materials, equipment and logistics resonated as the conversation moved to the issues surrounding workforce availability.

Following Shandra’s remarks, AMCC Chair Ken Sandmoen, Vice President, Major Projects with BrandSafway, and Jason McNamara, Vice President, Industrial Maintenance with Stuart Olson, brought the contractor perspective to the panel discussion. They were joined by Lexi Rensing, Director Supply Chain with Keyera, and Goke Korede, Director MCAT with NOVA Chemicals, bringing together different sides of the owner-contractor relationship.

The discussion was expertly guided by Allan To, who has been an important partner in AMCC’s work since serving on the independent Advisory Panel that helped develop One Industry. One Workforce. One Future.

A sincere thank you to Allan and the entire Supply Chain Canada West team for the collaboration, the platform and their commitment to advancing this important conversation.
